dan does the three peaks challenge.
You may or may not be aware that when I'm not hunched over my guitar I have the inclination to run, and run some more. Then run. Whilst running.... run.
So I thought I might join a bunch of mates who were embarking on the Three peaks challenge, to see how much we and I might be inclined to run it, or at least climb very quickly.
This is my team and me before we start at the bottom of Ben Nevis in Scotland (the tallest mountain in Britain). What a bunch of fitties they are! We start at 5.15pm. The challenge is to complete all three highest peaks, Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike in the lake district, (England) and then mount Snowdon in Wales all within twenty four hours!
This is us and me at the top of Ben Nevis. (Not sticks, don't know who he is).
We were up and down in 3hrs 20mins, pretty pleasing, despite the traffic!
More photos and results of the other mountains to come. Plus the result.
